Local-first app data
Party data, box data, encounter logs, death history, notes, settings, and other run information are intended to be stored locally on your device.
Privacy Policy
LockeBox is being built as a local-first emulator and tracker. The current app direction and alpha builds do not require accounts, do not serve ads, and do not send your run history to Heavy C servers.
This policy covers the LockeBox app, the LockeBox website pages under /lockebox/, and the current alpha distribution flow. Last updated: May 14, 2026.
Short Version
If you use the app without emailing us or using a third-party distribution service, your emulator data, save-aware tracker data, and imported files stay on your device.
Party data, box data, encounter logs, death history, notes, settings, and other run information are intended to be stored locally on your device.
LockeBox does not currently require account creation, cloud login, or a hosted profile to use the app.
The current app direction does not include ad networks, behavioral tracking, or analytics SDKs that report your gameplay back to us.
What LockeBox Handles
What We Do Not Collect
The LockeBox app itself is separate from the services used to host pages and distribute builds. If you visit the website, download a build from GitHub Releases, or join TestFlight, those providers may process standard request, device, or account information under their own policies.
Contact and Support

Do not send ROMs, BIOS files, or other copyrighted game files. If you report a bug, send only the minimum information needed to explain the issue.
